Siya, better known as Pweedy, is a 26-year-old musician from Hillbrow, Johannesburg. Raised by a single mother alongside his older brother, Pweedy’s early life was shaped by grit, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. While music became his passion, his first love was soccer. He stood out as the U15 Umbro Player of the Tournament with Wits Juniors and even played a friendly match against Banyana Banyana.

As time went on, the pull of music became undeniable. Influenced by his mother’s R&B collection and iconic voices like Siya Shezi and 2Pac, Pweedy found his voice in a fusion of melodic rap, R&B, and trap. His music reflects his journey, blending soulful storytelling with sharp lyricism.

With over 8 years in the industry, he’s released three solo EPs, including his latest, The Come Up, featuring artists like Pitso97, August Tenn, Melomaestro, Kitalusha, and Thelo. He’s currently working on a new solo project while collaborating with fashion brand Zeshart Clothing, continuing to grow both as an artist and creative visionary.
